המצב הפוליטי המחריף בשטחים הכבושים אינו מאפשר לנו לקיים את שיירת הסולידריות לשכם במועדה, למרות ההיענות הרבה בה נתקלנו לא רק בקרב אנשי שכם, אלא גם בקרב תושבי אזור חווארה, שותפינו לפעולות קודמות.
המצור הכלכלי, הסגרים, הכתרים ושפיכות הדמים המתחדשת, מדיניות הענישה הקולקטיבית - מטרתם להכניע את הפלסטינים, לעורר בקרבם מאבקים על חלוקת המשאבים המעטים, להגביר את העימותים הפוליטיים הפנימיים ולהביא להתפוררות החברה הפלסטינית. הלחץ אכן נותן את אותותיו, אך ההתנגדות לכיבוש מחריפה אף היא בעקבותיו. דווקא עכשיו, תמיכתנו בשותפינו בכל דרך אפשרית חשובה.
תודתנו לכל מי שתרמו. את התרופות ומוצרי המזון שנרכשו בתרומות העברנו ישירות לבתי-החולים, ואנו מתכוונים להמשיך בכך. המצוקה נמשכת והצורך עדיין רב.

Dear friends,
The extreme political situation in the occupied territories does not allow us to carry out the convoy to Nablus as planned, although the enthusiastic responses we received not only from the people of Nablus, but also from the people of Hawara area, our partners in previous activities.
The economical siege, the curfews, the renewed bloodshed and the policy of collective punishment, have specific purposes – to defeat the Palestinian people, to arouse internal struggle for sharing the limited resources, to increase the internal political struggles, and to disintegrate the Palestinian society.
This pressure does have its impact, but the resistance to the occupation is also increasing. Specifically now, it is important to continue supporting our partners in any possible way.
We greatly appreciate all those who have donated. We provided the medicines and food that were purchased directly to hospitals, and we intend to continue supplying whatever we can get. The distress continues, and the needs are still very high.
We need further donations – to provide the still urgent demands for medicines and food, and to support our Palestinian partners in struggling against the occupation.
