כבר 20 חודשים נאבק הכפר בילעין על חייו ועל עתידו. גדר ההפרדה גזלה ממנו כמחצית מאדמותיו, במטרה להרחיב את ההתנחלות מודיעין עילית. מול כוחות השלטון וההון - המדינה וכרישי הנדל"ן, המנסים לנשלם מאדמותיהם, מנהלים אנשי בילעין מאבק עממי לא-אלים נחוש, בשיתוף ישראלים ותומכים מחו"ל.
שלוש עתירות הגישו תושבי בילעין לבג"ץ, ובכולן צפוי להינתן בקרוב פסק דין: נגד גדר ההפרדה; נגד בניית השכונה החדשה על אדמות הכפר שנותרו ממערב לגדר; ונגד ההכרזה על אותן אדמות כעל אדמות מדינה, במגמה להעבירן לידי המתנחלים.
כבר 20 חודשים נאבק הכפר בילעין על חייו ועל עתידו, מאבק ארוך, לעתים מתסכל. ביום שישי, 27 באוקטובר 2006, תיערך בבילעין הפגנה גדולה, לראשונה מזה זמן רב. הצטרפו אלינו ובואו לחזק את אנשי בילעין במאבקם הצודק בתקופה קריטית זו.
יחד נקרא: לא לגדר! לא להפרדה! לא לחד צדדיות!
לא לגזל אדמות! לא להתנחלויות! לא לכיבוש!

It is already 20 months that the village Bil'in has been fighting for its life and future. The separation wall has taken about half of its lands, in order to expand the settlement Modi'in Illit. Against the joint forces of might and fortune - the State and real-estate sharks, who are trying to take over their lands - the people of Bil'in have been running a popular, non-violent and determined struggle, with Israeli and Internationalist participation.
The people of Bil'in submitted three petitions to the High Court of Justice in Jerusalem, and verdicts are expected to be given shortly in all of them: against the separation wall; against the construction of a new settlers' neighborhood on the village lands west of the wall; and against the declaration on the Bil'in lands west of the wall as State Lands, in order to hand them over to the settlers.
It is already 20 months that the village Bil'in has been fighting for its life and future - a long, hard struggle, often frustrating. On Friday, 27th October 2006 a large demonstration will be held in Bil'in, for the first time in a long period. Please join us and come to support the people of Bil'in in their just struggle in this critical time.
